GodLike Esports and OnePlus Launch E-Sports Gaming Alliance
GodLike Esports and OnePlus have announced a strategic partnership to bring cutting-edge technology to gamers.

With the global mobile gaming industry experiencing unprecedented growth and expected to reach USD 256.19 billion by 2030, GodLike Esports and OnePlus have announced a strategic partnership to bring cutting-edge technology to gamers.

The Indian mobile gaming industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, reaching an estimated value of $3.8 billion in 2024, per gaming and interactive media venture fund Lumikai. With mobile gaming poised to scale viewership and participation, the collaboration is a significant milestone for the gaming ecosystem; as the official smartphone partner for GodLike Esports, OnePlus will empower the Godlike BGMI team with the speed, graphics and precision required to dominate the space.

Addressing the milestone partnership, Marcel Campos, Director of Gaming Strategy and Flagship Category, OnePlus India, shared, "At OnePlus, our community has always been at the heart of everything we do — and with so many passionate gamers among our India community, we couldn’t be more excited to join hands with GodLike esports. This partnership is all about creating new possibilities, inspiring mobile gamers, and bringing our communities closer through the spirit of gaming on OnePlus."

"We are beyond thrilled to partner with OnePlus, a brand that shares our core values of innovation and performance", said Chetan Chandgude, GodLike Esports. "This is a game-changer for our team and the Indian esports ecosystem as a whole. Having our players, and especially our superstar Jonathan, equipped with the best mobile gaming technology will undoubtedly elevate their gameplay. We are confident that this synergy will give our team a critical edge in every competition."

The collaboration will extend beyond the competitive arena, with GodLike Esports and OnePlus creating exclusive content, community events and fan engagement. The two entities will work towards reshaping the mobile gaming landscape in India, creating opportunities for aspiring gamers.

Jonathan Amaral Will Lead The Charge

India's most popular esports athlete and gaming creator Jonathan Amaral will lead the charge to endorse gaming on OnePlus. He will also provide valuable feedback to help OnePlus optimise its devices for the specific needs of professional gaming and co-create with the brand to build for its India community.

The 22-year-old has six million subscribers on YouTube and four million followers on Instagram. "My entire career has been about striving for perfection and pushing my limits, which also is very in tune with the Never Settle spirit of the brand," he says. "To have a brand like OnePlus recognize that and give me the tools to continue my journey is incredible. I look forward to working with them to create products that truly resonate with the gaming community and inspire the next generation of players."

Jonathan Amaral has was a keen football and hockey player in school but because he was one of the smaller kids, he was rarely drafted in. As a teen, he was hooked on to mobile games and rose from an amateur to national stardom, bagging MVP and Top Fragger titles in tournaments. The face of GodLike Esports, he is considered the best Battleground Mobile India player in the country. Praised for his two-finger grip, Jonathan recorded the highest individual kill count at sixteen at the 2020 PUBG Mobile India Series semi-finals. Fans love him for the grenade throw, the DMR shot and the rifle spray.
